During the 1960's two vagabonds, Buzz and Todd, played by Martin Milner and George Maharis traveled around the old Route 66,The Mother Road, in a 1962 Corvette. Of course, it was only on TV but it captured our imagination and I thought it would be cool to retrace the old highway, which also is a nostalgic icon of traveling to the west.
Recently retired from business, a friend and I made the trip in May, 2005. We had a guide book of all the nostalgic icons that remained and stopped wherever we could to take a picture.
