In July, 2021, the family rented an AirBnB on a lake in northern Minnesota. While the vacation was a great experience for all the generations, as a photographer I had a special experience. There were a number of loons on the lake and one particular pair had a new chick.
Common Loons are prevalent on northern lakes and for a photographer their behavior with chicks is fun to watch and photograph.
So, here is a collection of my favorite images of the loons on Pelican Lake.
