In May of each year, bald eagles and other birds gather near Seabeck, Washington to feast on the spawning Plainfin Midshipman fish.
Seabeck Bay is a fjord in the Hood Canal part of Puget Sound. Because it is shallow, the birds have learned to gather to fish at low tide for the spawning fish.
There are a lot of eagles and herons who put on quite a show as the tide ebbs in the morning and they rush to eat.
