In May, 2016, my wife and I joined 11 other photographers and Andy Biggs for a week tour of the Galapagos Islands. We travelled from out home to Miami, then to Guayaquil, Ecuador where we spent two nights. Then, a short flight to San Cristobal in the Galapagos and our trip began when we were carried by pandas (zodiacs) to the Majestic. The Majestic was built to tour the Galapagos and she was a wonderful home for a week. We had a great crew, good food and a very knowledgeable and conscientious park ranger as our naturalist. With 400,000 visitors a year, the Galapagos, which are organized as a national park of Ecuador, are a busy place. Each day's itinerary was communicated and we were scheduled for landings and snorkel activities. Typically, there were two landings to observe and photograph wildlife and nature and one or two snorkel opportunities.
