In late September, 2017 I travelled to Mongolia to participate in a tour organized by Mongolia Quest. Our tour included three components, several nights in Ulaanbaatar, then a flight to the Gobi Desert for four nights, back to UB to repack and then a flight to the Eagle Festival in Bayan-Ölgii, the westernmost province in Mongolia.
Mongolia is defined by its history, specifically Ghinggis Khaan. He and his warriors conquered a large part of the known world in the 1300's. His presence is everywhere in the country and the culture.
These galleries represent the experiences, three very different experiences, as we toured this incredible place.
